Biology 11 is a fascinating course, in which you will learn about all the types of living things on Earth. It is a very broad course, with a great deal of content. You should ensure you keep up on your readings and strive to see the connections between living organisms.
Biology is a scientific discipline that studies a great variety of organisms. It is widely accepted that a few major themes exist in biology, and the use of these can provide an organizational framework for studying biology. The three themes for Biology 11 are as follows:
• Unity and Diversity
• Evolutionary Relationships
• Ecological Relationships
Seeing the connections between the course material we study and these three themes will help you learn better.
Quiz Tuesday on units A and B, test Wednesday on Units A and B
-know all vocabulary
-be prepared to answer multiple-choice questions
you should have completed - vocabulary, all Unit A and B questions and Labelling/Colouring worksheets before class on Tuesday September 20th.
